DEFENSIVE PISTOL AND STOP THE BLEED 

Factor Elite 24/7 Presents: Defensive Pistol 1

This course is designed for students who have successfully completed the NC CCH Course and wish to develop and practice defensive combative skills.  At a minimum students will: Draw from the holster, shoot from retention, engage multiple targets, point shoot, utilize a flash sight picture, perform failure to stop drills, move and shoot, utilize cover and concealment, and engage strikable targets.  ** A semi-automatic handgun, at least (2) magazines, a holster and 200 rounds of ammunition are required for this course. A HOLSTER IS REQUIRED FOR THIS COURSE! Rental guns will have a holster provided.  Students utilizing rental guns must wear pants with belt loops to compliment holster.  Students will receive a FACTOR ELITE 247 LLC certificate of completion upon successful completion of this course.

Defensive Pistol II

This course builds off the foundation set in Defensive Pistol I.  In this course the student will briefly review some of the core concepts in Defensive Pistol I and move on to more intermediate and advanced skills.  Skills will include (but are not limited to): Transitioning from non-lethal combat (strikes, grappling, fighting ect) to deadly force, shooting from non-traditional/compromised positions, Draw, Fire, and reload with support hand only, weapon's retention, managing victims and bystanders, and much more.  ** A semi-automatic handgun, at least (2) magazines, a holster and 200 rounds of ammunition are required for this course. A HOLSTER IS REQUIRED FOR THIS COURSE! Rental guns will have a holster provided. Students utilizing rental guns must wear pants with belt loops to compliment holster. Students will receive a FACTOR ELITE 247 LLC certificate of completion upon successful completion of this course.

Stop the Bleed 1

This is a basic level course designed to teach students how to stop bleeding in emergency situations.  Students will learn the difference between Arterial, venous, and capillary bleeding, how to control bleeding in various areas of the body, the use and operation of direct pressure, pressure dressings, and tourniquets. Students will learn how to make a hasty tourniquet in the field and practice placing tourniquets on themselves and each other.  Students will also learn the difference between a dressing, a bandage, and a splint.  Upon completion of this course, students will understand how to effectively stop or control bleeding and will possess skills to immediately respond to a major bleeding emergency.  In addition to a Factor Elite 24/7 LLC certificate of completion, students will also receive their own Individual Trauma Kit, and an official STOP THE BLEED Certificate from the American College of Surgeons.
